Do you have an Excel spreadsheet estimating template that you would like to sell? We want to build up our library of templates to offer a wider variety of choices for our customers.

Here's how it works:

You agree:

• IMPORTANT: That you are the owner of the spreadsheet that you wish to sell and/or that you have permission to sell it. If you are unsure as to who owns or has a claim to ownership for the template that you have built then please don't go through this process.
• To provide us with your spreadsheet, instructions for the user to get started, plus a sales description for us to use in marketing your template. A demonstration video is recommended but optional (see below for information on creating a demo video).
• You agree to provide (email only) technical support for your template for the first 30 days following each sale of your template, on an as needed basis, to the customers who purchase your template.
• You set the price for your template, within our allowable standard range of $99 to $499 for each copy sold.

We agree:

• To provide the platform, the sales and marketing tools, the search engine optimization etc to drive prospects to see your template on our site and to allow them to buy and download your template using our automated follow up system.
• To pay you 50% of the gross sales amount of each of your templates sold. Your check will be cut and mailed to you within two weeks of the close of each month, for payments through the end of the previous month based upon actual dollars collected from customers for your product (s).
• Not to ever share/sell or otherwise distribute your spreadsheet except to those who purchase the template through our store.
• You will receive a copy of the email that is sent to the customer anytime your spreadsheet is sold, making you aware of each sale as it happens.

Liability

Anyone who purchases a template from our site must agree to the following terms and conditions which are designed to protect both you and us.

Terms and Conditions for Excel Template Purchases

You understand and agree to the fact that these templates, the formulas and the results they produce are not guaranteed by us and therefore you agree to completely test all aspects of your new template before using the results in an actual project.

By purchasing one of our templates you hereby agree to hold harmless To-Scale Software, LLC and it's owners, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners or DBA's including the authors and owners of the individual templates free from any liability or potential liability which may result due to the use of a template that has been downloaded from our site(s).

The specific steps that you need to follow are shown here:

• Become an affiliate

There is no cost or commitment on your part once you become an affiliate, except to provide the information outlined below.

Complete our affiliate form to setup an affiliate account with us (this is done on the next page). This process creates a record for you in our system.

• Upload your spreadsheet

Upload a copy of your template, preferably in the Excel 97 format, if it requires the user to have Excel 2007 then please state so in your description

• Provide a sales description

Provide us with a description of your template to be used on the products web page. This description should provide the potential buyer of your template with enough information to make a decision as to whether or not your template might be a fit for them. Include a listing of the items covered/included/calculated. Write your description with enough detail that somebody working in your trade would be able to understand what your template includes. Up to 300 words.

• Provide a demonstration video

This is an option (but not a requirement) that can help us to sell more copies of your spreadsheet. You must be comfortable with narrating a brief demonstration video and have the technical ability to install and run the software. We suggest that if you pursue this option that you consider using Camtasia Studio software by TechSmith. 

Follow this link to download a free, fully functional trial of Camtasia Studio which will run for 30 days. (should be plenty of time to create your video) The software is easy to use, even for the beginner.

Consider keeping your video brief (less than 10 minutes) and to the point, make sure it is easy for someone with no knowledge of your template to follow along. Remember this is a sales video, not training.

The fine print: It is at the sole discretion of To-Scale Software, LLC as to whether or not your template is accepted for inclusion in our template store. We may choose not to include your template if we feel that it is not complete, not logically designed or easy for a new potential user to learn to use, or simply doesn't fit with our construction estimator clientèle. If we choose not to add your template we will notify you via email within one week of template submission and we will destroy the copy of your template that you sent us.

We also reserve the right to discontinue offering your template through our web store at any time without advanced notice to you, if it doesn't sell at an acceptable rate or if we have unresolved complaints about your template or the technical support that you agree to provide to any buyer, via email only, within 30 days of his or her purchase of your template.

You may also choose to discontinue the sale of your template inside our store by notifying us via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Allow up to 72 hours for the removal of your template from our web store. In this event the template copy you provided to us will be destroyed, and any remaining commissions due to you will be paid according to the normal payment cycle.
